Excellent kayak experience - I was an inexperienced at kayaking and had to be towed along the route. AJ was amazing so patient as he navigated my partner and I through the bay… even as he made sure all those in his group was together and safe. Going to the bay wasn’t bad but coming back was insane due to the current lol. While the group was all over the place all the tour guides made sure the group was together and safe and most importantly made it fun.

A must do! - Great staff. Wonderful views, very safe and fun. The knowledge of the staff was very evident. A lot of inexperienced kayakers were in group but they helped them along.

Magical - We had an amazing experience! All of the captains were amazing and Captain Emily knew so much about the eco reserve and bioluminescence. The experience of bioluminescence was 12/10. Things to be mindful of 1) the darker it is the better so look at moon calendar to plan the best day to go. 2) you will get wet so bring an extra pair of clothes 3) don’t bother bringing your phone it won’t capture the magic, just enjoy the experience.

Magical night - Really great trip with my wife and kids. My two boys (14 and 10) loved it. Tour guides were great and the mangroves were cool to kayak through.

Magical, relaxed yet exciting - We booked the “Bioluminescent Bay with Transportation from San Juan” tour through Viator. A van picked us up at one of two pickup spots in San Juan. Our driver was very chill, and very smooth behind the wheel. It was about 1.5-2 hrs to drive there and an hour back. The van had AC which was nice. The tour itself was lovely. Our guides Miche and Emily did such a fabulous job! We kayaked through a gorgeous little meandering Mangrove forest, got to see an iguana, and then had some time to explore the bay once we arrived. In the bay, Emily and Miche did a spectacular job of gathering everyone up again. Emily then explained the ecology of the mangrove forest and a bit about the “critters” we were there to see. Very entertaining and funny and informative. The guides then used tarps to allow everyone to see the plankton - which were so glittery and bright under the tarp! Truly spectacular! Quite a magical experience.Miche did an excellent job of swooping in when folks had trouble kayaking (a few of us hit trees) and see was able to help those who needed it but also keep the line moving. There were then chips and bottles of water waiting for us at the end. Make sure to bring some cash for tips for the guides and the driver at the end10/10 would recommend to anyone

Great experience - Great, for me experience of a lifetime. The only reason I went to Purto Rica was the Bioluminescent Algae and they did not disappoint.

Cool kayaking experience - Very cool and different to be kayaking at night through the mangroves. The tour guides gave good explanations and made sure that we saw the bioluminescence Best for kids over 10.

Too touristy, a lot of... - Too touristy, a lot of people, it was bright half moon and we needed tarps to see the bioluminescence. And they didn’t have enough tarps, so we only got to see it for a minute.
